Reference Services

UCP library  “Reference Services” includes the professional advice and assistance provided by the library staff, from material in the library’s collections or elsewhere, to assist individuals using the library or making inquiries by E-mail, telephones to meet their information needs. It also include the range of information products, such as guides, directories and databases, and the equipment and facilities that are provided to enable research to be carried out to meet information needs. Dedicated library staff provides efficient and reliable reference services to its patrons. The users can make quarries and get assistance regarding library resource and services. The help desk and reference services can be obtained from 8:00am to 10:30 pm in all working days.

• Research Help
Research advice and information search help is available to the users by our knowledgeable and experienced library staff at the library Reference Desk. All inquiries, help and advice requests about the library services, resources and their use, may please be directed to the Reference Desk or via e-mail. refdesk.library@ucp.edu.pk

• Document Delivery Service
Students, faculty members or researchers may request a electronic copy from the library subscribed online database or any other resource. Electronic copies of articles of any journal may be provided to faculty or researchers upon request. The Library strives to cater to the document delivery requests to the best exploitation of resource in its reach. Queries may send at refdesk.library@ucp.edu.pk

• Similarity Index Report services:
UCP Library provides the plagiarism-detection service via “turnitin.com” internet-based international software. With more than 90,000 journals / periodicals, books and 150 million archived student papers repository. Turnitin is being used by 10,000 educational institutions of 126 countries of the world. Plagiarism Queries may send at refdesk.library@ucp.edu.pk

• Scanning
Scanning facility of documents is also available in the library at reference desk. Initially this service is provided to faculty and researchers only.

• Computer Terminals for searching or E-resources:

UCP Library has latest computers in the electronic section for library users. This facility is available on first come first serve basis and no reservation request will be entertained in this regard.
